Bioremediation

Bioremediation is a procedure used to deal with infected media, which includes water, soil and subsurface material, through changing environmental situations to stimulate increase of microorganisms that degrade the goal pollutants. Most bioremediation is inadvertent, related to local organisms. Bioremediation makes use of microorganisms to degrade organic contaminants in soil, groundwater, sludge, and solids.
