Climate Change Mitigation and adaptation are the two key approaches to combatting global climate change. Whereas mitigation involves efforts at decreasing GHG emissions responsible for global climate change, adaptation involves efforts at minimizing vulnerability to adverse effects from climate change that have already been realized.
