The Green Building is constructed such that it conserves its environment by making efficient use of resources, adopting sustainable materials, and reducing its carbon footprint, mainly through energy efficiency and the adoption of renewable energy sources. The green building is therefore an important means of tackling climate change considering that buildings account for much energy use and emissions.
